Analyze The Leader Quotient
If you find your company stagnating, declining or facing constant people problems, reflect upon the culture of your company. Do YOU, as a leader, have a leader mindset or manager mindset? How does your senior management behave? Do you see energy in your people to do better, do something new, take some risks, talk about problems and find solutions. Are new ideas encouraged or shunned? Are concerns heard or dismissed? Are some blatantly favored over others in opinions, ideas, or career progression? Which of these answers indicate good leadership and which indicate weakness?
You may find many books and training programs on leadership. You may have read many books and attended training programs, even got certified. However, none will work without a change in mindset from manager to leader.
